Daily Daypack 16L

The Daily Daypack is the bag for a laptop, a notebook, a water bottle and lunch, at 720 grams so you forget it is on. It is panel-loading rather than clamshell: one main compartment that opens wide from the top, a padded sleeve for a 14-inch laptop against your back, and a front organiser pocket for the small things.

The shell is 600-denier recycled polyester with a polyurethane coating, on the same TPU-laminated base as the travel packs, so it can sit on a wet pavement. Zippers are water-resistant coil. A luggage pass-through on the back lets it ride on a suitcase handle, and at 44 cm tall it is an under-seat personal item on every major carrier.

Questions

Does a 15-inch laptop fit? Tight. The sleeve is sized to 14 inches. For 15 or 16 inches choose the Daily Commuter Pack 20L.

Can I use it as my second bag on a flight? Yes. At 44 × 28 × 14 cm it is under every major carrier's personal-item limit and slides under the seat with room to spare.

Is it water-resistant? The fabric is coated and the zippers are water-resistant coil, so rain on the walk to the office is fine. It is not waterproof; a downpour or a drop in a puddle will get through the zips. The Kit Rain Cover does not fit this bag.
