Haul Weekender Duffel 40L
The Weekender is the duffel for people who would rather not carry a backpack but still want to walk away from the taxi with both hands free. It carries three ways: grab handles, a shoulder strap, or the backpack straps that stow into a zip panel on the base when you do not need them. A wide U-shaped zip opens the whole top so packing is like packing a drawer.
840-denier recycled nylon with a polyurethane coating on a TPU-laminated base, the same shell as the Transit packs. A padded sleeve on the back wall takes a 15-inch laptop, an end pocket takes a pair of shoes, and the main zippers are water-resistant coil and lockable. 53 × 32 × 24 cm, 1.05 kg empty.
Questions
Duffel or backpack for a weekend? Duffel if you pack clothes and shoes and want them laid flat; backpack if you carry a laptop every day and want the weight on both shoulders. The Weekender has backpack straps for the walk and a duffel opening for the packing.
Does the 40L count as a carry-on? On the major US carriers yes, if you do not overfill it: compressed to 23 cm deep it sits inside 56 × 36 × 23. It is over the European budget-airline priority-bag limit.
Where do the straps go when I do not want them? Into a zip panel on the base. They disappear completely so the bag reads as a plain duffel.
